Schwarzhoff Lofts is currently breeding and selecting thoroughbred pigeons for racing partnerships at auctions, and independent sale events in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Belgium and Massachusetts. Most of our racers are Cape Cod-bred, in our own lofts. Our partnership birds for 2005 will begin their racing careers at Cape Cod Pigeon Racing Club affiliated Schwarzhoff Lofts in Centerville, MA. We will following the annual circuit from New England to Las Vegas down to Texas and back. We will ship the best athletes across the Atlantic to get purse money with pigeons.

Presently (2005) Schwarzhoff Lofts is breeding and training some proven, old bloodlines obtained from Belgium and France, which are showing some very promising traits.

Pigeon Racing Limited Partnerships

We divide ownership interest in limited partnership pigeons into 500 shares per 5-bird Race team, each representing 1/5th ownership. Partners can purchase any number of shares, usually at a price around $800/share, which covers our breeding costs and/or purchase price for the pigeon. Partners then share, pro rata, the ongoing maintenance in the pigeon – trainer’s fee, feed, loft, help, routine vet, bills, and the like; they can pay the monthly bills by check or, automatically, by credit card. Partners also pay pro rata for emergency vet work, and the any annual insurance for the pigeon.

Once the pigeon is racing, with the potential to earn purse money, partners can accrue any earnings against the monthly maintenance, or, if they wish, receive a check. Partners can also request a statement at any time.
